Mafube Coal, a joint venture between Thungela and Exxaro Resources, is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed graduates to join their Internship Training Programme. Located in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, Mafube Coal operates an opencast mine primarily supplying coal to the export market.

Programme Details:

• Duration: 24-month contract

Available Internship Opportunities:

• Mine Planning (Ref: PLANMAF001)
• VOHE (Ref: VOHEMAF001)
• Information Management (Ref: IMMAF001)

Roles and Responsibilities: Successful candidates will gain practical, on-the-job experience and will be responsible for:

• Completing a comprehensive two-year training programme.
• Attending monthly meetings and presentations.
• Receiving mentorship and coaching from qualified experts.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant qualification for the specific internship applied for:
  • Mine Planning: National Diploma/Advanced Diploma/BTech in Mine Survey.
  • VOHE: Diploma in Information Systems.
  • Information Management: Diploma in Information Systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Sound knowledge of Safety Systems, Regulations, and Standards with a high regard for safety.
• Willingness to work shifts, standby, and call outs when required.
• Computer literacy, strong communication (written and verbal), and excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, schedule, and manage activities.
